Grandmothers of Vermont get arrested to shut down Vermont Yankee

On June 30th fifteen women protesting Vermont Yankee Nuclear Reactor were arrested. Among the fifteen were four of Vermont’s Elders, two women being in their 90’s and two in their 70’s. For me this is a very powerful message. These women have lived a full life and are obviously close to leaving this world, and here they are stepping in front of the law to make their voices heard. They obviously care very much about the generations to come, if they are willing to be arrested and tried in court to STOP this dangerous industry.
