Vt groups to issue guidebooks on energy saving

WATERBURY, Vt. (AP) — Two Vermont organizations are getting ready to release guidebooks that can help communities cope with energy issues in a comprehensive fashion.

One of them is entitled “The Energy Planning and Implementation Guide for Vermont Communities,” ( Final Guide) the other “Communities Tackling Vermont’s Energy Challenges.”

The guidebooks are aimed at helping people save money, reduce energy consumption and make the transition to renewable energy sources.

The Vermont Natural Resources Council and the Vermont League of Cities and Towns will release the guidebooks Monday at a news conference at Thatcher Brook school in Waterbury.
