Fed money could be used to connect farms to schools

BRATTLEBORO — Farm-to-school programs across Vermont could receive financial help after the U.S. Congress included money for the programs in the school nutrition bill that passed last week.

The House of Representatives passed the $4.5 billion Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act which will expand and improve the federal school meals program.
