Water conservation projects not only save water, but keep that water clean for us, wildlife, and the environment.
If you have a water conservation project in mind for your community or yard, there are grants available to help fund it. The Rain Bird Corporation has created the Intelligent Use of Water Awards. They are giving away $50,000 in awards to the best water conservation projects around the country.
Register, choose your funding category ($1500, $5000, $10,000), describe your project, upload photos, and embed YouTube videos to convince others to vote on the project. Projects are displayed on the Rain Bird website. The projects with the most votes wins. The deadline for entering your project is March 1, 2011.
